As the subject states above, I've been playing LifePlay for almost a year or more and I've never encountered such a devastating error before until the download & installment of "v.5.26 x64 update only" from the given mega.nz link.
In the above given screenshots link you can clearly observe that most of the static & interactive elements are missing from the Main Menu Screen, Load Save Game Screen & New Game Character Creation Screen, etc, respectively. I do assume that the save files might not be causing the problem as observed.
Further speaking, I tried to revert back to the previous version by downloading older version update only zip files from the same but still it didn't yield any fruitful results.
Finally, I had to redownload the entire v.5.26 game files altogether and create separate folder for it and then ran the game again. This time however it opened up smoothly without anything missing however the application was unable to load the old saves files which I had shifted from the older Lifeplay content/saves folder.
My download quota for Mega.nz is over for today so I'll wait until I can download & reinstall the whole game files of v.5.24 altogether and move my save files over there and then run to see if the problem still persists but all in all I do have my doubts if the problem was caused by my end.
A few things to consider : I've not made any kind of changes of any shape or form in the game files whatsoever after this recent update installment. Just like any other patch update, I've downloaded it, extracted it, pasted it in the main Lifeplay folder as specified and executed the program the usual way I've been doing for more than a year.
I'll update this post necessarily so please do advice and as always, Thank you very much for such a invaluable Life simulator game!
The latest update sounds excellent. Thanks especially for addressing that disappearing character bug. I'm looking forward to the bug-fix update as well.
I am having an issue with the save file I never deleted it and even redownloaded the game multiple times when I try to find this save file it doesn't show. Is there a issue with my extractor I use winRAR.
The game is good, unfortunately some character go missing after some time of playing in using 5.24. For long term this game can make progress using online multiplayer. it will be a good challenge to maintain family and lover with an online community, just a suggestion for some extra fun

With the new 5.22 update, I've found the game to be unplayable. NPCs almost always spawn off the map and it leaves nearly every building completely empty. Even during random events the NPCs are often off map. Looking forward to the update hopefully that fixes the issue.
Same here. I've tried different settings/options with the same result. Eventually all NPC's become "invisible" which breaks everything within the game. No fun going into a scene and the only one visible is the player character. Seems to be a positioning issue with the NPC's after a certain amount of time within the game. One play through lasted 20+ in-game days before the problem manifested. One play through lasted less than a hour before it broke.
Noted: Can't install using the itch.io app, have to use the website to download
Edit: I love the game, I hope it continues to be supported and gets updated. Does anyone know where to put the maps, and where to get mods/where to put the mods? I don't know if it's just me or if the hairs need to be fix cause there's been more then one occasion to where they look transparent, and sometimes it happens to where it just certain areas of the hair making it look quite weird.
I noticed a bug with the catgirl characters, go to contacts menu & then "edit appearance" for any catgirl character, click "import" & I noticed there are catgirl textures for the face, arms & legs but there is no catgirl texture for the torso which in turn givers her a human torso. Just thought I'd let you know...BTW you do a brilliant job with the game & your mods, keep up the good work
Hey! So first I have to this game is so amazing. It has far exceeded my expectations.
My only issue is I wish NPCs would react more to when you're naked/having sex in public. Now, this seems like a massive project with a lot to work on, so fair enough if this isn't a priority. But it's like, when you're naked, other than the occasional NPC coming up to you and asking to bang, the game acts as if you're not. For example, you still have the option to "flash" people, and you can even get arrested for it, as if you weren't walking around naked already. I would love if being naked in public got more acknowledgment from the game, and NPCs reacted accordingly.
Same with having sex in public. Because when it happens, they might as well be in a private room with no one around. Just some occasional comments from the people involved, and the watching NPCs, would be great.
I hope that makes sense. Again, what's there already is really great. Thank you for this amazing game.
I found a review on F95 for this game that sums up the experience pretty well. Rating Lifeplay 3/5 stars, Beatoften had this to say in June, 2022:
"This is one of those games that people criticize because admittedly, in some ways, it's very rough around the edges. I would however point out that simultaneously, the potential is quite high and they've developed something here that is easy to expand upon and easy to continue growing. Like it or not, you gotta respect that this is without question one of the most consistently updated large projects on this website.
What this game effectively offers is a simulated life with excuses for sex and porn sprinkled in. It can be an enjoyable experience where you can watch a character unfold organically and become corrupted or the like because their landlord or boss is interested in them.
However...
I'm giving this a 3 out of 5 precisely because the sheer amount of updates is becoming a weakness as much as a strength.
The issue in play is that basically every time they do an update with a new theme, there's new events that can befall the player. Rape events, interracial events, fantasy race events, incest events, swinging events, old-young events, etc etc.
It is becoming blatantly apparent the game lacks any scripting that causes events to trigger under certain conditions. Instead, events seemingly trigger entirely at random, and when the pool of events is as high as it is, this means that if you for example are interested in interracial events, the chance of encountering these is now very poor, simply because it's competing with everything else.
The result is it feels like every individual kink is losing out, because at any given time, they all have a 1% chance to be drawn since there really are enough competitors to lower the percent chance that low. Sure, there's some conditions in play for some events, but it's clearly not enough.
What this game desperately needs:
Screw kink of the month, screw new content, and take a step back and just focus on adjusting conditions for various events. Instead, take a step back and adjust the conditions for each event occuring so that the player isn't utterly bombarded with them. Someone needs to sit down, look at the events, and ask which would realistically be constantly occurring ones, which should be one-time events, which should occur once a week, etc etc.
As things stand now there's seemingly nothing limiting events, so someone with all modules turned on can expect nightly visits from vampires, constant invites to art galleries, and a number of conditional-yet-relentless events if you meet said conditions.
I still think this project has loads of potential, but it's hit the point it needs to stop blindly throwing new ideas at the wall, and instead take a step back to organize the damned wall into one coherent, functional piece where the individual parts compliment each other better. If it does that, this would honestly jump back up to 5 stars for me."
At the moment, I have to say I agree. Current event trigger rates in game are, at a glance, quite random and nonsensical, and in need of some major organization.

Yeah, hate to be the bearer of bad news, buuuut... This game spins up the fans on my 5700xt, there's no way it'd run, let alone be playable, on a phone regardless of it's price-point.
no.it's not that powerful, but it's in the 3060's ballpark. so yeah. not really phone material. the models aren't mesh-optimized at all for one, nor is the level-geometry.

This game was incredibly promising until the creator was extorted into removing everything remotely interesting about it. I am so tired of these self-righteous dipshits who can't separate fantasy from reality and make it everyone elses problem. All you achieve by removing all virtual occurrences of these things is creating less outlets for would-be harmless curious individuals. You cant censor real life, if you remove everyone else they can explore these topics they'll just do what people did back before the internet. You are not helping anyone, you are whining and bitching and trying to force the world to be a perfectly boring lukewarm bathtub just for you.
Do video game characters work with the png/jpg image character maker? Like obviously the original Lara Croft wouldn't work but would Lara Croft from the most recent game or Dina from the Last of us 2 work?

Do you have breezip if you have it better extract the zip into your files and then open it

In the download section. On the page you choose the file for the current version for the type of computer you are using.
You can download it as a zip in a zip data or just a zip.

Mega. Click on 1 file you need, there's no need to download all of them.

Go to Settings, and play with the Toon Shading Depth till you think is good for you... :)

Why did this game download a ton of random software to my computer?
I clicked decline on all of the things it asked to download, and it downloaded them anyhow.
I just had to spend 20 minutes manually uninstalling 5 - 6 software applications.
Just had to do a system restore because of this.

You should do a save from time to time, just hit Esc, then Save... :)
